The Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a rare disease affecting boys. International exchanges between researchers, doctors and patient organisations is of utmost importance.
World Duchenne Organisation, WDO, is a world organisation which purpose is to find a cure for the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and to create the standard of cares in collaboration with the doctors that are shared with all patients.

WDO encourages and promotes the parents to become active. Family needs must be in the centre and the starting point of activities.
WDO works with patient organisations from all over the world in order to improve the medical cares, the quality of life and the futur for all patients affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy or Becker Muscular Dystrophy.
WDO is a non-profit organisation based in Netherlands.
